La Retraite Carp Fishing is a mature, tree lined, private 2.5 acre spring fed lake, yet contains four extremely neat and well presented swims to choose from - accommodating a maximum of three anglers, there is plenty of room to fish in water depths of up to 7ft.

La Retraite Carp Fishing has not been commercially fished for some considerable time and this is why there are currently limited pictures of people catching the fish! We have just began an  over-winter feeding programme to encourage and maintain competitive growth of the already large fish. These fish are therefore in immaculate condition and wiley and tricky to catch.

The accommodation has recently undergone a programme of upgrading and renovation works and a brand new Cabin with two bedrooms, bathroom and large living/kitchen/diner has been built with a hot tub. The Lodge is also completed to a high standard and will suit couples and fishermen alike. There are also two fishing lodges which can house two anglers with fishing bedchairs (pictured centre bottom below). They come complete with lighting, charging points and a gas fridge and an adjacent chemical toilet. Save money and cut out the hassle, no need to bring your bivvy or bed, all you need to bring is your sleeping bag and fishing equipment!
